NL ring

The Poker Code: "Wow. It's a perfect fit for me. Why are NL ring games better? First. There is a different species of fish that play the NL ring games. SNG fish like to push their imaginary stacks around with more "blind vibrato" and tend to do it more often. The fish at the NL games are a bit more 'conservative' with their blind all-ins. You still see them but when you do there is a better chance that they have something to back it up. A very subtle difference but one that translates into a much better EV."

Party bad beats

Trying out the advice of the Poker fadda, I opened an account on Party, and tried my hand at the bad beat tables.

The 50/1 tables were almost full, with 2 open seats at 8 or so tables. What the hell.

Ouch.

I managed to drop $18 in 15 hands. Full house beats Nut flush. 2 pair loses to two bigger pair. Big Slick (2 times) loses to two small pair.

sigh.

Went on tilt, raising every chance with rags. Board threatened a flush, everyone folded to me on the river to get back to -12.

Riding the F Train SNG stategery

Riding the F Train: "My historical ITM last year, before I stopped playing the SnGs, was in the high fifties, so although this sample size is on the small side, the numbers sound about right."

I need to digest this. Good stuff.

Online Poker Thoughts: Poker Gods Missed Me

Online Poker Thoughts: Poker Gods Missed Me: "One of my readers had a decent idea (Piper_bt). He says and I quote 'It would be nice to know some of the Bloggers names on different sites'. If anyone wants to send there site names I will either create a new section here to keep track or post them next to your Blog name or something. It is kind of fun to get someone saying 'Hey, are you SirFWALGMan from the Blog?'"

Heh. that's TWO posts related to me. One here, and one on the PokerFather's blog, pimping me.

I might get 3 or 4 readers a year. SSWWWEEEETTTT!
